Our Story

How it all started…

EMPORIO has been established in 2006 by Josephine and Dominic Formosa prior the opening of their 250 sqm retail outlet situated in Palm Street, Victoria, Gozo, styled as Emporio, selling men’s, ladies’ and children’s outerwear and shoes. This outlet followed the first ladies’ fashionwear shop opened in 1996, under the name of ‘Casual Link’.

Following the successful opening of the Emporio outlet in 2006, it was clear that the company had the ability to look forward to expand and increase its business, both in Gozo and in Malta. In fact, EMPORIO at the moment operates another four retail outlets, two in Victoria, Gozo and two in Birkirkara, Malta.

This increase in floor space and output led to the gradual increase in the management team which was entrusted to Josephine and Dominic’s children, namely Mark, Claire and George. Since its inception, EMPORIO has chosen the best available international brands of men’s, ladies and children’s outerwear and footwear.

These partnerships have been carefully selected as all these share a high level of Quality, Style and Value, which are synonymous with EMPORIO’s 17 year motto. We believe that with our brands, management team together with our trained staff and seamstresses, we will continue helping professionally our esteemed clientele to purchase and fit the best outfits possible for any occasion.
